Talaba21 operates an online platform that acts as an social network through several domains to connect you with old friends and to make new ones. Registration to this online platform is not recommended to those who are not interested in reconnecting with old contacts or gaining new ones.

The Talaba21 Network is directed towards scholars and students of all ages and nations.

Registered users may publicise personal information, establish groups or join established groups, invite others to the social platform, research other users, send messages, search employment offers or access other useful functions of Talaba21.

1. General

1.1

Talaba21 provides access to and makes this social networking platform available. The General Terms and Conditions (“Terms of Use”) regulate the affiliation among individual users and the association between the operator and the users.

1.2

The Terms of Use are valid for all content, functions and services which Talaba21 makes available. These Terms of Use also apply to all applications that are published by the operator in the course of time.

2. Registration

2.1

Registration beforehand is necessary in order to access the Talaba21 Network. This registration is free of charge.

2.2

Registration is permitted to those seeking an education, i.e. pupils, university students. Furthermore, registration is permissible to those who are not currently attending school or university but, through this platform, would like to improve their language capabilities or maintain contact during stays abroad.

2.3

During registration, the user is required to enter his/her data as requested by the Talaba21 guidelines. Registration occurs with the submission of the designated form. The user must enter the required information during registration. The entering of pseudonyms or pen names is permissible.

2.4

Talaba21 sends a link for verification to those prospective members immediately after registration. Once this verification is confirmed by clicking on the link, registration is complete and all contractual conditions are in effect. Should the registration be left partially completed, the operator maintains the right to delete all data previously entered.

2.5

The right to membership does not exist and Talaba21 may exclude individual users from the platform at anytime for an unlimited period of time.

2.6

As verification of the accuracy of individual information entered is unfeasible, data that is falsely entered by individual users cannot be screened out. Talaba21 accepts no liability for the accuracy of the individual user’s information.

3. Cancellation of Membership

If a member decides to interminably leave the social networking platform, he/she may easily do so by deleting his/her profile. 3.1

Talaba21 maintains the right to exclude individual users from the platform through deletion/blocking of user data or refuse complete access to members. This usually only occurs when individual users stand out as conspicuous or harass other members.

3.2

Once a user is excluded from the platform, Talaba21 may allow other members further access to information entered by the excluded member, i.e. contributions to forums or other entries into the platform.

4. Subject of the Contract

4.1

Within the Talaba21 network, the user has access to several applications made available to them. This includes the accessibility to user profiles (see “My Profile”) and similar functions available for uploading and the accessibility to data and texts (i.e. videos and pictures) that are visible to all users or certain groups. Provision of means of communications (emails, chat, instant messaging, etc.) and the provision of functions in the formation of groups and albums

4.2

The Talaba21 platform is continuously being developed further. The maximum amount of data, which may be uploaded, is unlimited for the time being.

4.3

Talaba21 may and reserves the right to interrupt or limit services within the platform when necessary for some time.

4.4

Talaba21 connects its users through its network with the support of external contents, software and services, such as linking to pages of third party providers.

5. Registration

Access data should be saved. Ideally, check the “remember me” when registering. The allowing of usage of Talaba21 services to third parties is prohibited. Each user is required to have their own user name and log-in data. Changes to this may be made within the personal profile at a later time.

6. Uploading to Talaba21

6.1

The content made available or distributed by a user is the sole responsibility of the user. Content that is in breach of applicable law will be removed by Talaba21 as soon as possible and may possibly lead to prosecution or have other legal consequences. The user guarantees the rights/ownership of the data loaded and that the data does not contain immoral elements.

6.2

The publication of the following content through video, text and images is forbidden: portrayals of violence, racism and/or adult content. Such images and video are explicitly forbidden to be distributed through Talaba21!

6.3

Third parties included in uploaded content, i.e. photos and videos, must consent to the user uploading such content.

6.4

Talaba21 maintains the right to delete any material uploaded to the platform.

7. Usage of Talaba21 Content

7.1

The content made available to members is not to be copied or used elsewhere. In cases of theft or attempted theft, the data of the originator will be disclosed.

8. Network Disruptions

The distribution of mass mails and the unsolicited placing of advertisement links in blogs and forums are prohibited. Users not adhering to these requirements will be sanctioned or excluded permanently from further membership. It is prohibited for those members that have been banned to reregister with the network.

8.1

The user holds Talaba21 free of any liability in any claims made by third parties for contraventions occurring within the network. The user causing legal action to be taken incurs all costs accrued by Talaba21 from the violation of the law.

9. Liability

9.1

Talaba21 is only liable for damages caused by its personnel. The latter usually occurs within such social networks. There is no guarantee of the permanent availability of services on Talaba21. Service failures may occur in situations such as unexpected inundation of visitors, server modifications and any other technical problems.

10.

Talaba21 reserves the right to change terms of these General Terms and Conditions whenever necessary without the mentioning of reasons for such changes. All members will be notified when changes to the Terms of Use are made.

10.1

The legislation of the user’s homeland is applicable to the Terms of Use and contractual relationship between Talaba21 and its users.
